Supplements – there are a lot of opinions as to whether or not daily vitamins or supplements are worth the money or a waste of money. I will offer my opinion as a mom who has done a lot of research, but it not a nutritionist (I wish I was) or a doctor.
Daily Vitamins/Minerals
I believe that adding a daily multi-vitamin/mineral supplement to your health regime is a good idea for everyone – even those who eat super healthy. Our soil has been depleted over time, and studies show our vegetables and fruits do not offer the same concentration of nutrition as in the past. While I think most people believe taking a daily supplement is a good idea, and certainly wouldn’t cause any harm – choosing a quality supplement can be tricky.
Vitamin Quality Test
If you have vitamins in your home currently, try this test: Fill a drinking glass with 1/4 cup vinegar and 1 cup hot water. Drop your vitamin in and swirl the glass gently. If the vitamin breaks down in 45 minutes to 2 hours, it is getting broken down and utilized in your body. If not, the vitamin is not getting dissolved and you are quite frankly, wasting your money.
How To Choose A Quality Supplement
Reading labels and finding a quality vitamin supplement can be challenging! Most vitamins you purchase from a store shelf are not great. It is best to look for a whole-food vitamin so that the nutrients are bio-available to your body. Many store bought vitamins are synthetic, and not being absorbed and utilized well in the body.
I used to use a line my husband carries in his chiropractic clinic. You do have to be a licensed provider to purchase them, and they are expensive, even with his wholesale discount. I got introduced to doTERRA in 2015 by a friend from church, and initially began only using their essential oils. When I learned they carried supplements, and that their supplements were actually their #1 selling product, I decided to investigate.
doTERRA’s LifeLong Vitality Pack
doTERRA’s LifeLong Vitality Pack contains three different supplements, a multi-vitamin/mineral formula called Mircoplex VMz, an omega called xEO Mega, and a cellular vitality complex called Alpha CRS+. Things I loved from my research: testimonials, money-back guarantee, formulated differently in each country for what is lacking and needed in that country, the price, the CPTG (certified pure tested grade) testing, that they contain a digestive enzyme or “tummy tamer”, and that they are infused with essential oils. I decided to give them a try for myself and for my family.
Microplex VMz
doTERRA’s Microplex VMz contains 22 essential vitamins and minerals for optimal vitality and wellness. Microplex VMz includes a whole-food botanical blend of kale, dandelion, parsley, kelp, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, and spinach as well as a tummy tamer digestive blend of Peppermint, Ginger, and Caraway Seed. This supplements supports healthy digestion, immune function, metabolism and cellular energy. Now, who doesn’t want that? They are also high in anti-oxidants which help to fight free-radicals.
xEO Mega
This blend of CPTG essential oils and marine and plant-based omega-3 oils contains a balanced ratio of EPA and DHA as well as being high in anti-oxidants. xEO Mega supports healthy cardiovascular, nervous, and immune system function. It also supports healthy function of the brain, eyes, joints and nervous system. This supplement also slows cellular aging and supports and maintains healthy skin, hair, and nails. xEO Mega supports memory, cognitive health, mental acuity, positive mood, attention control, alertness and may play a role in increasing the speed at which information is acquired to enhance learning.
Alpha CRS+
This unique cellular health supplement supports healthy cell function and metabolism by reducing oxidative stress to DNA and other critical cell structures. It supports cellular energy by supporting healthy mitochondria and by supplying metabolic factors of energy production for healthy immune function, brain function, metabolism and cellular energy. Some people feel so energized from this supplement, they do better not taking it in the evening.
Suggested Dosage
The daily recommendation of each of these three supplements is four per day. I would recommend starting with two of each per day taking 1 of each with breakfast and 1 of each with lunch. After a week, you can increase the dosage to 2 tablets of each at breakfast and 2 of each at lunch. I can say I did not noticeably feel different when I started taking the Lifelong Vitality Supplements; however, if I miss a day I definitely notice. I truly do feel they have helped my energy levels and immune function – and my family’s too!

I would highly recommend trying this supplement line – you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain!
